Marek Antoš

Marek Antoš is a constitutional law scholar and an associate professor at the Faculty of Law, Charles University, where he serves as the Head of the Department of Constitutional Law and Vice Dean for Communication and IT. With a rich academic and professional background, he specializes in constitutional issues related to political systems, elections, rationalized parliamentarism, social rights, party financing, and the impact of technological advancements on constitutional law, including the “right to be offline.”

M. Antoš holds multiple degrees, including a Ph.D. in public law and an LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University. His extensive academic career includes roles as a lecturer and researcher on topics such as constitutional law, state theory, and electoral systems. He has led or participated in numerous research projects, such as those investigating constitutional customs in Central Europe and the long-term impact of COVID-19 on electoral systems in the Visegrad countries.

Dr. Antoš is also an active member of various academic and professional bodies, including editorial boards for legal journals and advisory committees on public and human rights law. He has received several accolades for his teaching and research, including Charles University’s Best Teacher Award multiple times and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from Central European University.
